The Christmas Molada

The snowfall over the weekend certainly set the Christmas ambience in my house, the tree is up and the house is decorated – Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-laaa.

I love all things Christmas, besides the cold. I ventured out in the snow yesterday and everywhere was so much more picturesque, I was annoyed I didn’t bring my camera with me but there’s always next time 😉

Decorating the house took a lot of effort so I treated myself to a drink afterwards. I created, drumroll please, ………’The Christmas Molada’. I’ve dubbed it the ‘molada’ as it’s a mix-up between a mojito and a pina colada, with a pinch of Christmas. With the mix-up you can probably guess that it’s a sweet drink but there’s no better time to indulge in a sweet beverage than during the festive season.

13 Gentlemen Traits Associated with a Modern Gentleman

Woo hoo…officially a year since I started blogging at Gentlemen’s Odyssey. I created this blog to provide young men with a perspective of what a gentleman is and to publish collective stories and journey of individuals (check them out here) that I consider gentlemen. With that been said, I think it’s only fair for me to provide you with 13 traits and characteristics that I think a gentleman should possess or portray in today’s modern society. It’s also important to understand that I’m not trying to define what or who a ‘classic’ or ‘traditional’ gentleman is but to simply provide you with the character that I associate with modern gentlemen.

Gentleman’s cognizance #3: “The final test of a gentleman is his respect for those who can be of no possible service to him” – William Lyon Phelps (American author, critic and scholar)

25 Books To Develop Your Mind

Confucius once said “No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.”

We strongly believe in the quote, at Gentlemen’s Odyssey, hence why we plan to recommend great books that we believe will push you out of your comfort zone and help you grow as an individual and to become your best version of a gentleman.
